Electricwest: Together We Fade (Expanding Electronic Diversity) Packaged in an elaborate plastic/perspex casing, this 10 track CD of largely ambient recordings includes a mix by Brian Grainger and David Tagg, so eight originals by the main artist in all. It's amazing how many releases there are that tread the increasingly generic path of melodic, melancholic strings washed electronica. The inclusion of slip-sliding beats can't help but remind one of the early brilliance of the Scots duo Boards Of Canada, Freescha and a host of artists that record for Merck, Neo Ouija etc... If you like any of the artists or labels mentioned above then you'll snap this up. Limited to 100.
