Where have Benbecula records been in recent times? We've suddenly got this strange 5 track E.P. in by Birdengine now & it's a wierd one. Veering between strange sputtering backward-masked analogue gear with embryonic, haunting keyboards that sound like they're choking on a kazoo, A dislocated & distorted haze-a-thon that sounds like Volume All Star being murdered under a blanket of magic mushroom feedback, A twittering wobbly ambient interlude spins it's magic before bursting forth with some spectral lo-fi guitar pickings & more, much more. An utterly captivating slab of wax. A crazy, quirky junk shop treasure.
