My mate George recently came to see Explosions In The Sky with me & was complaining from the start about his agonising knee dislocation or some such ailment. He soon forgot his discomfort when supporting Texan posers Bikini Atoll walked on stage & blasted out their particular brand of Lou Reed meets bombastic Anglo-stadium indie whimsy. He declared them to be amazing, then went home whimpering & missed the headliners. So I can't say whether or not you should trust my pal's judgment, just that they may serve as some kind of anesthetic for limb injuries. This new single's called "Cheap Trick" & is on Bella Union, CDs only!

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
